Self-Employment
WorkBC offers eligible clients a free 48-week Self-Employment Program that gives individuals the knowledge and resources to start and succeed in one’s own business.
The objective of the Self-Employment Program is to assist individuals who are unable to obtain sustainable employment in the local labour market, in creating jobs for themselves by starting a business. Clients who participate in Self-Employment services are expected to become self-sufficient and independent through self-employment upon completion.
The Self-Employment services available through the program include:
- Business Plan Development
- Entrepreneurial Workshops
- Coaching and mentoring
- Business Launch and Implementation support
